With the 50th anniversary of Woodstock in full bloom, it only seems fitting that a 249-page photo Ebook called The Who 1969-1971 Historic Moments Onstage should stir some interest. Without going into too much detail, let’s just say Stewart Hellman was at Woodstock with his camera and he managed to capture a few magical images of the Who as they performed.

So taken with the band, Hellman followed the Who in and around New York to venues like the Fillmore East, Metropolitan Opera House, Tanglewood, and Forest Hills Stadium. Luckily for the rest of us, he just happen to have his camera with him at each show. Fifty years later, these shots of a young, restless, and hungry Who in their prime are sure to resonate with fans of the band, Woodstock, and the golden vintage rock years of the 60s and 70s.

Hellman plans to release the book as a soft and hard cover book in 2020. Meanwhile, The Ebook can be had at Amazon and iTunes. Check out a few shots from the book below, featuring Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon — The Who!
