Germany’s most famous hard rock exports, the Scorpions, who are entertaining us on their Love at First Sting Las Vegas residency are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their trademark album. The current Scorpions lineup includes lead singer Klaus Meine, guitarists Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs, bassist Paweł Mąciwoda, and drummer Mikkey Dee.

The crowd erupted as Meine’s unmistakable vocals soared through the theater. Schenker and Jabs shredded their way through earlier classics like “Make It Real,” “The Zoo,” and “Coast To Coast.”

The show was a trip down memory lane, mostly paying homage to their multi-platinum breakthrough album, Love At First Sting, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. Eight out of the nine songs from this iconic album made it into the night’s setlist.

The band’s energy was infectious, and the crowd responded with enthusiasm. Throughout the show, they engaged with their fans, tossing guitar picks and drumsticks into the audience. The classic rockers proved that age hasn’t dulled their rock and roll spirit.

Hits like “Winds of Change” and “Bad Boys Running Wild” had fans singing along. The band also dedicated “Send Me An Angel” to former drummer James Kottak who was a key member of the band for 20 years.

“Still Loving You” is a power ballad that has stood the test of time. Lighters swayed, and voices joined Meine in a collective chorus that echoed through the theater. It was a moment of unity, where fans of all ages connected over the magic of music.

And then, they went into the grand finale — “Rock You Like a Hurricane.” The venue shook as the band unleashed their signature anthem. The crowd sang along, fists pumping, as if transported back to the 80s when Scorpions ruled the airwaves. If you’re a rock believer, this desert sting is a must-see!
