Ringo Starr celebrated his 85th birthday on July 7, 2025, for the fifth year in a row at the Beverly Hills Garden Park with a feast of family members, friends, and fans. The event, hosted by T-Bone Burnette, featured musical performances of Beatle songs by Molly Tuttle, Sam Phillips, Jackson Browne, and Joe Walsh. Everyone joined in for the Beatles’ “Birthday” with the words changed to “With Ringo a Happy Birthday.”
Other luminaries in attendance included Ringo’s wife Barbara Starkey, Joe Walsh’s wife Marjorie, Fred Armisen, Glen Ballard, Ed Begley Jr, Gregg Bissonette, Dennis Crouch, Warren Ham, Colin Hay, Jim Keltner, Colin Linden, Lucius, Steve Lukather, David Mansfield, Richard Marx, Blake Mills, Asa & Roy Orbison Jr, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, Hamish Stuart, Diane Warren, and Gabe Witcher.
As with every Ringo birthday party came the special “Peace & Love” exclamation at noon, which was echoed in 38 countries worldwide. The Peace & Love message was also sent to the moon and back by intuitive machines via the Goonhilly Earth Station and to the ISS via the Artemis Space Program.
After cutting the birthday cake, Beverly Hills mayor Sharona R. Nazarian stepped up and proclaimed the day as “Peace & Love Day” in Beverly Hills and gave a special plaque to Ringo. See the full gallery of photos from the day below.
