Remembering David Crosby In Pictures – Photo Gallery

David Crosby, the renegade musician who was part of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, is no longer of this earth. Despite his many flaws, Crosby’s place in rock and roll cannot be underestimated. He hung out with the Beatles, produced Joni Mitchell’s debut album, and appeared at Woodstock. His scrapes with the authorities and colorful opinions have sometimes trumped his musical legacy, but somehow the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee always kept going right up until 2021 with his final solo album, For Free.

Vintage is proud to have covered David Crosby’s activities on a number of fronts, including the 2006 CSNY reunion show in Upstate New York, 2011 show with Graham Nash in Long Beach, 2014 solo New York City concert, and 2019 appearance at California Saga 2 in Los Angeles. And, of course, we had to give him a shout out for his contributions to the classic Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young release, Déjà Vu.

Along with the concert reviews, photographers Ron Lyon, Kimberly Annette, and Joe Schaeffer were able to capture David Crosby on stage in 2011, 2014 and 2019. As a tribute to the man, here’s a few select shots we thought we’d share.
