Memorial
At noon the doors opened at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills for a Ronnie James Dio Museum viewing while friends and family arrived. Comng up to the podium to speak were Dr. Sandy Kapoor, Lita Ford, Wyn Davis, Dean Schachtel, April Eppilito, Sheila Melody, Paul Shortino, Rock Feinstein, Vinny Appice, Steve Mignardi, Rudy Sarzo, Craig Goldy, Scott Warren, Scott (Big Scott) Sentinella, Wendy Dio and Eddie Trunk. Performances from Lita Ford, Great White and Rough Cutt followed. It all ended with assorted musicians, many former Dio players, coming together for renditions of “Rainbow In The Dark,” “Sign Of The Southern Cross,” “Stargazer” and “Stand Up And Shout.”
